everyone's their own person.

Today wasn't exactly the best of days. It brought back horrible memories of this one audition I did. I hate doing combo dances because I usually get somehow caught in the back and I can't see the steps! I'm not going to lie, after that first half of class, I was immensly discouraged. All of you guys are amazing and I can't help but sit there and wonder what the heck I'm doing here. After I get really down and lost in the concept of how terrible I am and how I don't belong, I try to remember that I'm doing this for experience. I see all of you with all this talent and potential under your belt; I have to remind myself that we're all still learning. I was extremely quiet and shy (more so than now) when I was younger. My dad suggested that I should check theatre off when I was signing up for middle school classes. I'm glad I did because it definitley has made me more outgoing and introduced this amazing world to me.



Okay, so today I used the ladder again. I have to say that I'm amazing when it comes to climbing!! ha. Ian, you don't have to worry about me falling anytime soon!!



Audition do's and don'ts

DO

• Be cordial.


• Be prepared


• have four monologues in the back pocket of your soul ;) 1 comedic classical 1 dramatic classical 1 comedic contemporary 1 dramatic contemporary


• find a focal point in the middle of the wall.


• ALWAYS SAY YYYYYYYYEEEEEESSSSSSS :)


• don't sit and mope around your telephone.


• buy CHOCOLATE :) a girl's best friend. [[ghiradelli icecream is the best]]


• clear your mind of the audition.

DON'TS

• be an alien


• use a monologue where you need a prop


• write your own monologue


• let the audition get to you later


• be rude to everyone but the casting director


• run away as you simultaneously perform your monologue.


• make the director feel creepy.

I don't know what else to say. I definitley think we should all go laser tagging :) It's the funniest thing to do!!
