I Do Agree With You, Alex.

I, too, deny all allegations of misogyny. I love you all.

Today was enjoyable. I forgot to put my cheese in the refrigerator, but I got back just in time to say, "Be the popcorn," so my day was made. Despite certain misgivings I have about music theatre (some undeserved, others not so much), I thought today was informational and a good learning experience. I have fond memories of friends who performed the particular song we heard for the dance segment (though not so fond memories of the song itself).

I've heard a lot of advice about how to go about auditioning, and I think ultimately all advice is good, and the only way to really figure it out is to audition. I think most all of the points Ian made agreed with the advice that proved positive from other teachers I've worked with, and he also added the vantage point of someone who had been behind the table at an audition (and deigned to let us feeble friends of prostitutes and thieves have some juice), and for that I appreciate the day.

Blocking was quite fun today, but it's awkward with the binder in hand, and I know I'll never get as deep as I'd like holding on to it, so it must be put down soon! More joy to come.
