Before I start anything I would like to warn everyone of my horrible spelling...issues. I cannot spell. At all. Bear with me. That is a funny phrase isn't it?? It makes me think...AHH! There's a bear with me!! haha...sorry for my tangent...okay onto the journal...
Today was pure fun! Along with Ian's ADD (which I would like to point out makes things even more interesting and exciting), I really enjoyed all of our activities! The one activity that was a bit...awkward...was the 'touch the person in front of you with your eyes closed'-thing. But it made me very aware of my space-which i hope was the point of the exercise.
I also really enjoyed the game of power! It made me realize that you constantly have to think of what the audience's focus is on while your performing.
Explaining the text of Richard III helped a great deal as well. I am terrible at understanding Shakespeare (which is why I went out and bought the 'no fear Shakespeare' book that provides the original text side by side with the modern text so I can understand everything that my character is saying. Yes. I cheated. Muahahaha!). Stopping every once in a while to answer questions and clarify things helped bunches. Thank you.
And last but not least I would like to say that I am determined to know all of your names and faces by the end of this!! I am really bad with names so this would be a big achievement.
Overall I feel I (we) had a great first day and I look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow!!
