Three is a Magic Number

Today's class was quite rich with knowledge. It seems we have followed a trend with our classes so far: first the body, then the voice, and finally the mind. Shakespeare was a most extraordinary man, and his work is remarkable. One thing that really speaks of his genius is his use of language in order to turn a script into an almost living and breathing being. For example, the use of iambic pentameter because of its resemblance to a heart beat seems to literally bring his plays to life. Even more fascinating is that a sentence out of the pattern can mean a skip of the heart; therefore, it is as if a person would start to cry or break down. It all just blew my mind, considering i never realized those things before.
As far as blocking I was really excited with the direction it was going. I love the idea of all the Richards being like parasites and climbing all over the walls! All the movements take on such a character that I was just so excited that we get blocking that can be so much fun! I was afraid at the beginning of how well the plot would translate to the audience, yet seeing today all my fear is gone.
My only problem was with myself. I truly want to get to know everyone; however, I keep feeling somewhat closed off. I apologize for seeming a bit weird, yet I can be a little slow to warm up sometimes. The hope for us all I believe is not only to be an ensemble of actors but friends as well. When I said I felt like a love-seat, I meant it. I only want to spread the love. Thank you.
