There is only so much time in a day, and I think today we confronted the troubles of this one universal truth. I came in to the Uta Hagen class really wanting to learn. I, myself, am not well acquainted with the teachings of such a great acting teachers as she; and I really wanted to learn more. The nine questions seem to be a great tool, yet I felt we didn't have the time to really get up and put them into action. However, I do appreciate Mr. Davis coming in and getting in all that he could.
So I like double casting and I don't like double casting. I like it because you get a partner to work with and get inspiration from. I don't like it because when your cast isn't rehearsing: YOU SIT AND WATCH. Yes, yes patience is a virtue, and you can learn a lot from watching; but there is just something about being an actor that makes you want to be ON stage. Sometimes I just get a little antsy having to stay seated- somethings from your childhood just never leave. Anyways, I'm sure tomorrow will be better, and I can't wait to run the show!!!!!!
