A Scottish jig

"Surprise! You have to sing!" Ha, oh Broadway day, how I adored thee. I pretty much enjoyed the heck out of this class. Musical theatre is always a ride, and today it was basically bumper cars. It was interesting to see how the audition should not be taken so personal. Getting up and singing a song in at the spur of the moment was also quite the experience. Only in a theatre conservatory would you have teens who actually had songs prepared. I especially loved the realization that "Kansas City" is about trying to convince a girl to roll around in the hay with you. I think I will keep that in mind for future auditions with that piece. ;)

Being a trained dancer, I was really happy to learn the choreography for Little Women.......
I wish. At some point during that time, I thought to myself: "I have no clue what the heck I'm doing." Luckily, my being trained in IMPROV came to my rescue, and I turned the well-thought out routine into an interpretive dance of flailing arms. Oh, well. You can't be good at everything. haha.

Blocking Richard III is always fun to me. I just can't wait to get this script out of my hand! What else can I say besides that everyday here excites me. See you all tomorrow!!
