U.H.!

1) Who am I? I am a crazed and power hungry Duke who has his eyes on the thrown. I have an amorphous disposition that bends to those who I aim at pleasing. In the quest for my desires, I am quick to become angry and have a tongue gilded with silver. My hate runs deep; my grudges never disappear. Anyone who stands in my way is like to become my enemy.

2) Where am I? The Duke of Gloucester has made the castles of England his home. Gifted with royal blood, he is accustomed to luxury; however, he is very much acquainted with the bloodied earth of battle. Having fought in for the House of York at Tewksbury, he knows the fronts of war as well. Now he stands at a point of longing for the crown and for blood to be spilled.

3) What time is it? It is a time of peace, yet my soul is in a state of unrest. I say it is time for me to become king!

4) what surrounds me? I am surrounded by grandeur yet also by fools. My peers lie as fatted calves just waited to be plucked off one by one. In my mind's eye, the world is bent and deformed; it lies in wait for its bent and deformed ruler!

5) What are the given circumstances? The House of York has taken the head of the English state. We defeated the Lancastrians; in France they lie in exile. It was I who led a battalion in attack and helped with our present victory. The kingdom is in a lull, but I still wish for heads to roll.

6) What is my relationship? I am brother to the present king and to Lord Clarence. The Duchess of York is our mother. I hate Queen Elizabeth and her faction with their pompous ways and their ignorant attitude. It drives me mad that such an imbecile as the Queen could rise to be more powerful than me! A woman! For that grievance, Edward grows farther from my favor. As for Clarence, he is simple and naive. It really is a shame he was born, for had he not have existed I wouldn't have to kill him. What a shame. My mother always distanced herself from me. Because I looked different, she could never look me in the eyes; but she will soon wish her tidings were better. Soon they will all regret having scorned the Duke of Gloucester, and all of England will realize Edward to be better a corpse than a king!

7) What do I want? I want bloody power! I gained honor from my efforts at Tewksbury, yet all the cheers have faded. Well, I don't want the honor to ever fade again. During these times of peace, I have plotted and see now that I must be king for eternal glory. Yes, my brilliance has always been pushed aside, but my greatness refuses to wait for time. I want the thrown and I want it now.

8) What is in my way? Everyone. My brothers, my sister-in-law, my cousins, my nephew, and all those who dare curse the name of Richard, Duke of Gloucester.

9) How am I going to get it? Murder, murder, murder, seduction, lies, being two-faced, corruption, wit, influence, bribery, and more murder.

10) How will I know when I've got it? A crown will encircle my head, and all will say "Long live Richard, England's royal king!" that and when someone kills those princes in the tower
