Walking My Mystic Way

That's actually a really cool header. I sorta want to keep it forever. . .

So, today was a fun day. May I just say that I absolutely love translating Shakespeare into layman's terms, because when you say it in how it would translate loosley, it's really, really funny. Well, Ophelia's monologue, not so much.

But, for example, Lady Macbeth's discussion with Macbeth basically came down to "Wait, you're backing out now? Are you serious?! You are such a pansy!"

When I had to put my audition piece of Phebe's monologue into layman's, it was just so great, because the speech is fantasticaly sarcastic on it's own. My own sarcasm on top of that, well, I just had a blast. It's one of the reasons that I actually enjoy Shakespeare, because while my English teacher will go off into a long-winded rant about what in depth meanings are and the students all sit in a glassy-eyed stupod, I can lean over and say "It means 'dude, I think you're a total loser, and by the way, I'm going to kill you now.'" It's fun stuff!!

Maybe I'm just a little strange this way, but when Clarence wakes up in the tower and sees the murders and says something to the effect of "how darkly thou dost speak." or something, all I can think is "Why, Grandmother- what large teeth you have!"

Plus, also- ninjas vs. pirates!!! Ah, the epic battle. It was the theme of last years Animazement. Because yes, I am that dorky. Though, I maintain that who cares about ninja and pirates, because, seriously, the jedi own everyone!!

Ahem, sorry about that. Back to serious(ish) journaling.

There was more blocking today! Well, for teh 25th cast, but I did take careful notes. And, in the time that Kayla was not onstage, I wrote. I don't know whether it's the theatre or the play, but for some reason, everytime that I've put my pencil down this week, words keep gushing out. It's awesome!!

Though, I'm debating brining in my laptop one day, just because I have so many hand-written drafts that need to be typed, and since I have the time. . .

Sorry, again! Tangents!! Well, actually the only thing that is occurring to me to say is about werewolves, which will inevitably lead into yet another tangent about stupid werewolf cliches in pop culture, and then about Remus Lupin and the maruaders, and then into the terrible special effects of the third movie- so I'll just cut off here.

Night!!

p.s. yay! "Lie Upon The Daisies" poem! . . . Is this a magic journal? Because I asked for that poem yesterday. . . Hm. . . I wish for a million dollars!! Let's see how that works out!
